Forklift Steer Axles - Axles are defined by a central shaft that turns a wheel or a gear. The axle on wheeled motor vehicles can be fixed to the wheels and revolved with them. In a wheeled motor vehicle, axles are an essential part. With a live-axle suspension system, the axles work in order to transmit driving torque to the wheel. The axles likewise maintain the position of the wheels relative to one another and to the vehicle body. In this system the axles should likewise be able to support the weight of the vehicle together with whatever cargo. In a non-driving axle, like the front beam axle in various two-wheel drive light trucks and vans and in heavy-duty trucks, there would be no shaft. To finish, in reference to a motor vehicle, 'axle,' has a more ambiguous description. It means parallel wheels on opposing sides of the motor vehicle, regardless of their mechanical connection type to one another and the vehicle frame or body.
